Far Out Magazine: Quentin Tarantino Says the Script for His Tenth Film Is Finished

A finished draft, no start date

Quentin Tarantino says the script for his tenth and final film is written, Far Out Magazine reported from his appearance on The Graham Norton Show. "I've written a script that I really like," he told the host, a line Variety also reported.

Why one script counts as news

Tarantino has said for years that he will stop at ten films, and his ninth, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, came out in 2019. A finished draft is the first concrete step toward that self-imposed finish line since an earlier plan, The Movie Critic, was dropped.

What he has not said

He named no title, cast or shoot date. He said he wants to do his West End play, The Popinjay Cavalier, then spend time with his family and "live a little" before deciding what comes next. Until he does, the tenth film is a goal on paper, not a production.
