Polygon: Ryan Murphy Gets His Glee Reboot at Disney+ and Hulu

A wish granted, with paperwork

Disney+ and Hulu have officially announced a Glee reboot, with Ryan Murphy involved and 20th Television producing, Polygon reported. The news arrived Wednesday through the show's X account, which said it was "Currently gleeking out."

Why it got coverage

Murphy had spent months talking up a return, and Polygon noted that co creators Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan also worked on the script. The original ran six seasons, from 2009 to 2015.

The factual core

No cast, plot or release date has been announced. Murphy told Entertainment Tonight he had been in touch with around 10 original cast members, which is a conversation, not a contract.
